Meteor, having primarily been aimed at the teen market was now following their audience into University and beyond. To reflect this change the new stores needed to appeal to a (slightly) more mature audience. As part of the design team working on the retail redesign for the Meteor Stores, we developed a new illustration style that could keep the humour and playfulness of the brand, suit the slightly more mature audience and not date in the stores. The concept was based around the customers social world and how communication devices were integrated into their lives for both work, study and play. I illustrated a bespoke cityscape for Dublin, Cork and Waterford representing this social world. The illustrations were used for 7 stores across the country, the largest being 10m in length.
